R & D Imports, Inc. guarantees its products to be free from defects of workmanship. Due to environmental elements and relative humidity, wood will sometimes expand and shrink. We take great care to construct our furniture in a manner tha allows the wood to shrink and expand. Under drastic temperature changes, cracks may sometimes appear; however, this is a very rare occurrence. Damage claims of this nature will be assessed on an individual basis if they are within three months. Due to the nature of hand carved products, dimensions, details and/or colors represented in our catalogs may vary. This antique/one of a kind product may vary significantly.

Our painted cottage collection is comprised of hand carved items crafted from plantation woods. The nature of these items mean that dimensions may vary slightly and, as the solid wood responds to it's environment, some splitting and cracking my occur. We think that the imperfect nature of this particular line embodies the antique, distressed look that is appeal of the product. This "distressed" effect is non-structural and combined with the old fashioned hand applied finish, adds to the unique, antique charm of the items. The majority of our customers agree with us, however, if you do not feel that this is collection is appropriate for your clientele, please contact us about any of the other lines that we carry.
